American Idol 2008 – Top 5

Yet again, Jason Castro was the worst. Brooke White was a close second behind him. So, purely by merit, these two should be in the bottom two tonight. But, there is a popularity angle as well. So, I won’t be surprised if Syesha Mercado is in the bottom two. For all you know, she may even be voted off.

I thought all of them sang well. But, most certainly either Jason Castro or Brooke White are going home tonight.

David Archuleta was undoubtedly the best. All the girls were bad. I am pretty sure it will be all girl bottom 3 tonight. As for who really gets voted off, tough call.

Wisdom, No More

At least 25% of it.

I was so proud of it. I didn’t expect it to just pop out within a minute of me opening my mouth. And to think that the dentist seemed fresh out of college.

The last wisdom tooth came out just a few years back. I was sitting at a terminal in the San Francisco International Airport, waiting to go home for my wedding and lo, final wisdom announced it’s arrival with a piercing pain. Thankfully, I got all my wisdom before the wedding, so my wife really can’t take any credit for that.

But man, it lasted just a few years. And what bothers me is that the tooth was not even paining. The smart dentist suggested that I should get it removed and I did. Now, I REALLY miss my tooth. He wanted me to get rid of the other three as well, and make me completely dumb. Smart ass, no way am  I going to do that.

Whatever, I am still have 75% wisdom and in today’s World that is more than adequate.

 

American Idol 2008 – Top 8

This week’s bottom 3 will definitely be from the following list: Carly Smithson, David Cook, Brooke White, Syesha Mercado.

Although Syesha sang quite well, she does not seem to have a lot of fan following. It will be sad if Carly leaves, because she is truly a good singer.

On the other hand, Jason Castro was horrible as usual. I don’t know how the judges thought he was great. Michael Johns and David Archeluta continue to amaze me with brilliant singing. For a change, Kristy Lee Cook sang pretty well. It’s her attitude which has kept her alive in this competition.

Ramiele Malubay, Jason Castro and Brooke White are undoubtedly my bottom three this week. But, Kristy Lee Cook was no great either, so I won’t be surprised if she shows up down there. I thought Syesha Mercado was not all that bad, but she doesn’t seem to have too many fans.

Michael Johns, David Archuleta and David Cook were simply superb!!!
